Mirage

i love my girl,
brave and delicate like the sound of thunder;
and she loves me, the wild child,
born out of beauty and raised in uncertainty.
we roam the streets like no other
in search of fragile things to save.
we give!
and this will tear us apart.

one day we'll give too much…
and our naivety will become
our curse.
we'll drift away,
loving and hating each other,
unable to do a damn thing about it.

tell me, my sweet child,
in the morning, when you shake your dreams
out of your golden hair
and
imagine the perfect life unable to step into
reality,
what do you see?

is it a color? is it a face? is it desire?
or do you blindly look into the future and
only feel?

let's build pyramids in honor of our existence!
everything is simple! oh, so simple that becomes
incomprehensible…
